2a. Test without an account (guest test)

You can take the test without creating an account. We only ask for your age, which is used to assess your result, and your consent to your test answers being stored and processed. Your answers are stored under an anonymous guest ID in a cookie in your browser. We do not store your name or email.

If you create an account or log in within 90 days, the test is linked to your account and stored like your other data. Otherwise, the guest test is deleted automatically after 90 days.

The processing of personal data is based on:

• Performance of a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b))

• Compliance with a legal obligation (GDPR Article 6(1)(c))

• Legitimate interests (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)), including operation, security, troubleshooting and improvement of our services

Test answers are health data and are processed on the basis of your explicit consent (GDPR Article 9(2)(a)).

5. Retention of Information

We retain personal data for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfil the purposes for which the information was collected.

User accounts and training data are generally deleted or anonymised no later than five (5) years after the most recent activity, unless legislation or legitimate interests require a longer retention period.

Accounting records are retained for the period required by applicable law.

Guest tests that are not saved to an account are deleted automatically after 90 days.

6. Research and Statistics

We may use anonymized information from screenings, tests and training activities for statistical purposes, analysis and potential future research.

It will not be possible to identify individual users from such information.

7. Account Registration and Responsibility

You must be at least 18 years old – or at least 6 years old with the consent of a parent or legal guardian – to use TYE.

When creating an account, you must provide accurate information and keep it updated. You are responsible for all activities carried out through your account, including those performed by others using your account. Any suspected misuse must be reported to us immediately.

TYE is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the functionality, availability, accuracy, suitability or reliability of the platform.

TYE does not replace professional healthcare assessment.

The service does not constitute medical advice and must not be used as a diagnostic or treatment tool. If you have concerns regarding vision, cognition or health, you should always consult a qualified healthcare professional (such as an ophthalmologist, optometrist or physician).

Use of the service is at your own risk.

Neither TYE, its employees, partners nor suppliers shall be liable for any direct or indirect losses, consequential damages, health-related issues, technical failures, data loss or other damages arising from or in connection with the use of the service.

By creating an account and using the platform, you accept these terms and acknowledge the above limitations of liability.

Limitation of Liability

TYE's liability is limited to the amount you have paid for the service, and we shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses.

12. Contact

If you have any questions regarding our processing of personal data, please contact:

info@trainyoureyes.com

13. Address suggestions at checkout

When you type your address at checkout, we suggest addresses so you can fill it in faster and more accurately. To do so, the shop's server sends only the text you type in the address field and the country you have chosen — never your name, email or phone number. Your browser does not contact these services itself, and no cookies are used.

The text is sent to Klimadatastyrelsen (the Danish Address Register) for addresses in Denmark, where we also check an address you have typed yourself against the register; to Kartverket for addresses in Norway; and to Geoapify GmbH in Germany for addresses in all other countries. Geoapify processes the data on servers in the EU as our data processor under Geoapify's data processing agreement.

We do not store what you type during the lookup. The answers are kept only briefly in the server's memory (at most 10 minutes) so the same lookup is not sent again, and none of it is logged. The address you end up using is saved with your order. The legal basis is that the processing is necessary to complete your purchase (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). You can always type your address without choosing a suggestion.
