Would you like a child who is bursting with self-esteem, is in touch with their body and senses, and is happy and curious about life? Superbarn is the Danish book that shows you how to get there.
What the book is about
- Vision and binocular vision – the child’s eye movements, fixation, focusing and ability to concentrate.
- The primitive reflexes – a child is born with many reflexes, each with its own purpose. When they no longer serve a purpose, they should be inhibited, but they are not always.
- Coordination – the child must be able to cross their midlines, make different types of movement and control both eye and body coordination.
- Balance – consists of four parts, all of them important.
- Self-esteem – the basic “worth” the child feels they have. It can be stimulated so the child becomes resilient.
Who it is for
For you as a parent and for professionals who work with children.
How the book is structured
- Part one describes the child’s development, with many home exercises for all ages from birth to 12 years.
- Part two explains the professional concepts behind the exercises.
- Along the way there are checklists for each age, so you can see for yourself whether your child is on track or would benefit from stimulation in some areas.
